Vertical park

Due to climate change it rains more often and harder, which creates flooding in the city. This with the result that dirty water gets mixed with clean groundwater. The purification of water is therefore more difficult and expensive. The quality of drinking water will dramatically reverse and clean water is scarce.

The Watermaker provides solutions for this problem. Watermaker is a vertical park that collects rainwater, holds and purifies. Within the structure several levels are provided with special trays in which plants are growing in favor of the water purification. This can be applied on top of existing buildings, in abandoned building structures or vacant lots.

At an area of about 550 m2 it is possible to produce 5000 liters of drinking water per day for an average of 200 days a year. That’s 1,000,000 liters per year. This will be sold in the supermarket as packaged drinking water. The bottled drinking water pose a tangible product to bring the technology to the attention. On long term, we can supply drinking water and sanitary water for entire neighbourhoods and towns. In this way cities become more self-sufficient. However the Watermaker is more than a machine. As a new urban park offers opportunities for recreation, nature and cool and clean air in the city. Above all, it contributes to raising awareness about our environment, because without water there is no life.
